An evolving exploration of humanity through human–AI portraiture.
The Beautiful People is an ongoing portrait collection by Wayne Edfors, known as GRIDdriven. Created through a collaboration between human imagination and artificial intelligence, it celebrates the variety of human expression and the possibilities of imagined humanity.
Drawing on the vastness of space and the depths of the ocean, the collection treats each portrait as a pearl within a larger creative universe. Futuristic visions of humanity, including Lucite-style helmets and pearls, invite reflection on identity, transformation, and the human spirit.
Biblical symbolism also informs the work. Adam and Eve and the apple appear as metaphors for creation, curiosity, and the venture into unfamiliar realms of art and consciousness.
As the collection evolves, each portrait contributes to an unfolding visual narrative—a meeting of human creativity, spiritual reflection, and emerging technology.

In 2016, eight large-scale artworks by Wayne Edfors were commissioned for the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center — bringing original digital art into one of the NBA's most celebrated arenas.
ENCRYPTED BODY
Identity in transformation.
Encrypted Body explores the human form as a meeting place of identity, symbolism, and technology. The body becomes a visual language—a surface through which questions of self, perception, and change can unfold.
The work invites viewers to consider what we reveal, what we conceal, and how our sense of humanity shifts within an increasingly digital world.
PokerSHADOW
The visible move. The hidden story.
PokerSHADOW draws on poker as a creative language for exploring uncertainty, intuition, and human behavior. Cards, patterns, and symbols become starting points for reflections on what people reveal and what remains beneath the surface.
The project brings strategy and psychology into a visual conversation about perception, possibility, and the choices we make with incomplete information.
DIGITAL COLLECTIONS
Throughout 2022, Wayne Edfors minted an NFT daily — establishing a sustained commitment to digital art as a living, evolving practice. His digital collections are available on OpenSea.
